According to national media, the Director General of Health Punjab has issued a circular regarding deadly diseases, warning that cases of dengue, pneumonia, influenza, measles, whooping cough, and Naegleria may emerge.
The circular states that all hospitals across Punjab, including Lahore, have been placed on high alert, and necessary measures should be taken for the treatment of these diseases.
The DG Health has instructed hospitals to set up awareness banners and counters, and to ensure the availability of essential medicines. The circular also directs that all patients should be provided with the best medical facilities in hospitals.
Every year, during this season, viral diseases affect many people across the province, including Lahore.
The Director of the CDC emphasized the need for preventive measures and awareness before the outbreak of eight diseases in recent days. He has directed all administrative officers across Punjab, including Lahore, to take necessary actions.
