Al-Khadmat Foundation has launched relief, rehabilitation and reconstruction for the victims of Gaza with 15 billion rupees.
In Lahore, Dr. Hafeez-ur-Rehman, Central President of Al-Khadmat Foundation, Secretary General Syed Waqas Jafri and Vice Presidents, among others, held a press conference regarding the ongoing relief activities and rehabilitation and reconstruction in Gaza.
President Al-Khadmat Foundation Dr. Hafez-ur-Rehman presented the details of the ongoing relief activities for the people of Gaza and the plan of action regarding rehabilitation and reconstruction, saying that the Al-Khadmat Foundation has launched the “Rebuild Gaza” campaign with 15 billion rupees for relief, rehabilitation and construction for the next 15 months after the relief activities of 5 and a half billion rupees in the last 15 months.
He said that under the campaign, the victims will be provided with temporary shelters, provisions, food, medical facilities, ambulances, mobile health units, medicine and educational facilities, as well as initially rehabilitating a hospital in Gaza, reconstructing 5 schools that were completely or partially affected, and building and rehabilitating 25 mosques.
He said more than 100 clean water projects to provide clean water to Gaza’s victims, residential towers to provide housing and roofing, and permanent support for 3,000 orphaned children are part of the plan.
President al-Khadimat said that the situation in Gaza is not hidden from anyone, Israeli attacks have not only resulted in the loss of thousands of human lives.
On the contrary, with the destruction of Gaza’s infrastructure, millions of victims are forced to live under the open sky in a world of destitution. He said that the people of Pakistan have generously helped the people of Gaza in the past and we are confident that they will still move forward to rehabilitate and rebuild their suffering brothers and sisters.
Dr. Hafez-ur-Rehman said that Al-Khadmat is present in the field in collaboration with its partner institutions in this regard and continues to provide all possible assistance to the people of Gaza.
