ISLAMABAD: Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) President Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry called on Prime Minister Imran Khan and apprised him on his recent foreign visits to highlight Indian atrocities in Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK).
According to a statement issued by Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), AJK President apprised PM Imran of his successful visits to the United States and Europe to motivate the Pakistani diaspora to highlight IoK’s cause.
During the meeting in Islamabad, both leaders also discussed matters pertaining to development in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK),” the statement added.
On November 5, Pakistan said that despite deploying 900,000 troops in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), New Delhi is trying to portray false sense of normalcy in the occupied valley to mislead the international community.
“India is trying to portray false sense of normalcy in IIOJK. However, the reality on ground is totally different as you have also noted that the Kashmiri people have rejected these attempts,” FO Spokesperson Asim Iftikhar had said at a weekly press briefing.
Expressing “serious concern” on the reports about Indian occupation forces setting up a so-called new investigation agency in IIOJK, he said this could be another repressive tool to further terrorise Kashmiris.
