Pakistan’s renowned singer Adnan Dhool has revealed that he has still not received payment for the song “Awari” from Indian director Mohit Suri’s film “Ek Villain.”
While participating in a podcast, singer Adnan Dhool shared several interesting facts about his personal and professional life. He stated that he had a passion for singing and later moved to Lahore. He also acted in dramas and described his singing career as a long journey.
“I received 10,000 rupees for my first show. My manager bought a computer for production, and then I kept working continuously — about 18 hours a day,” Adnan Dhool added.
Talking about the Bollywood song “Awari”, he stated, “Mohit Suri contacted me through Facebook and stated he wanted the song. After that, it got nominated for the IIFA Awards. If they like a song and it clicks with them, they just take it.”
Regarding the payment for “Awari,” the singer disclosed, “I still haven’t received the money for the song. T-Series cleared the payment, but it was given to our representative in India, and it never reached us. To this day, we haven’t received it.”
It is worth mentioning that the 2014 Indian film “Ek Villain” starred Shraddha Kapoor, Riteish Deshmukh, and Sidharth Malhotra in lead roles. Adnan Dhool not only sang “Awari” for the film but also composed its music.
