KARACHI: A Pakistani female student of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) has responded to trolls comparing her to a social media influencer Dananeer Mobeen’s ‘pawry’ video, which went viral on different social media websites.
In an interview, Zara Naeem said she was disappointed after being compared with Dananeer Mobeen. She said these attitudes from society discourage both of them as they played different and opposite roles. “I handle criticism however, it should be in a positive direction, “she added.

Zara Naeem of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) had been declared the global prizewinner for scoring the highest marks in the Financial Reporting exam held in December 2020.
Although, the news of Zara’s accomplishment did not travel or valued nearly as fast and effervescently as a social media influencer Dananeer Mobeen’s ‘pawry’ video, which went viral and now, the comparison between the two has raised several questions on different social media websites.
In the video, Mobeen can be heard saying, “Yeh hamari car hai, aur yeh hum hein, aur yeh hamari pawri horae hei (This is our car, this is us, and this is our party).” The footage has since been recreated hundreds of times with the hashtag #PawriHoriHai recurring on various social media platforms after trending on Twitter.
The clip also transcended borders and to everyone’s amusement turned into a song, courtesy of Indian content creator Yashraj Mukhate. Following this, Mobeen’s remix of the video garnered 10 million views in two days on YouTube.
