Aamir Khan Productions turns down rumours of littering Ladakh during movie shoot

Aamir Khan Productions (AKP) has refuted rumours claiming that Laal Singh Chaddha’s cast and crew left Ladakh littered.

In this regard, The production house shared a statement and clarified that the production house has a separate team that ensures that the shooting location is left litter-free and that they double-check every location before leaving it.

In May, Aamir Khan went on a recce to Ladakh before he started filming Laal Singh Chaddha. Now, that the team has finished shooting the film in Ladakh, some Twitter users have accused them of littering in the area.

In response to the reports, the statement of AKP read as, “To whomsoever, it may concern, AKP would like to clarify that as a company we follow strict protocols for cleanliness in and around our shooting spaces. We have a team that makes sure that the location is trash-free at all times. At the end of the day, there is a re-check of the entire location. At the end of the entire schedule, we make sure that when we leave a location we leave it as clean, or cleaner than we found it.”

“We believe that there are some rumours/allegations about our location not being kept clean. We strongly deny such claims. Our location is always open to relevant local authorities to carry out checks anytime that they like.”

Laal Singh Chaddha is a remake of Tom Hanks-starrer Forrest Gump, it was released in 1994. Along with Khan, the film also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan in a lead role. The movie is slated to be released in theatres this December.
