KARACHI: The University of Karachi’s administration has detained four students of Institute of Business Administration (IBA) after they were allegedly caught doing indecent activities within the university’s premises.
According to details, the students, including two girls and two boys, were caught in two separate vehicles in the space science department. They were later shifted to the campus office by the security guards along with the vehicles.
The security guards informed that the students were engaged in suspicious activities by putting shades on the vehicle. In this regard, the security adviser said the IBA had recorded the statements of the detained students.
Earlier in October, six suspects were arrested and a case was filed against them for allegedly harassing students within the premises of the University of Karachi. Later, they were released on bail.
The case was brought to the limelight when a male student, who had been accompanying two female friends in a car, shared his ordeal on social media.
The harassers reportedly followed the car, kept hooting at the female student and at one point forced the car to stop, before the driver of the vehicle was able to break free and reach a security check post.
