A disturbing video has surfaced on social media, allegedly showing a young Baloch girl named Shetal being shot dead in a remote area of Balochistan.
According to reports circulating online, the girl was executed on the orders of a tribal Jirga for choosing to marry someone of her own will — a practice still taboo in certain tribal communities.
In the viral video, a group of armed tribal men can be seen escorting the girl to a deserted location. Moments later, they open fire on her in cold blood. The horrifying clip has sparked outrage and condemnation from various segments of society.
Senior journalist Shabir Soomro shared the video on his Facebook account, along with a caption claiming that the girl was killed as a punishment handed down by a jirga for her decision to enter a love marriage.
The identity of the girl as Shetal and the claims surrounding the jirga’s involvement have yet to be officially verified by law enforcement or human rights authorities. It is also not clear, when did this incident happened.
