Famous Indian film star Shah Rukh Khan has reportedly sustained a muscular injury while filming intense action sequences for his upcoming film King at Mumbai’s Golden Tobacco studio.
The 58-year-old King Khan, known for performing many of his stunts, has flown to the United States for medical treatment. While the exact nature of the injury has not been disclosed, sources confirmed it is not considered serious.
“It’s more of a muscular strain,” an insider told Bollywood Hungama, adding that Shah Rukh has suffered several injuries over the years due to his physically demanding roles.
Doctors have reportedly advised a month-long break from work to recover fully. He is expected to return to the set and resume shooting by September or October, depending on his condition.
King, which features Shah Rukh Khan in a high-octane role, has been generating buzz as one of his most action-packed projects to date.
