In Peshawar, Lahore, and Multan, the prices of chicken have been recorded a decreased by Rs 28 per kilogram, media reported on Saturday.
As per the reports, in Peshawar, the price of live chicken has been reduced by another Rs 15 on Saturday, after which the price per kilogram has dropped to Rs 440. Yesterday, the price of live chicken per kilogram in the official price list was Rs 455 per kilogram.
In Lahore, live chicken has become cheaper by Rs 8 while chicken meat has become cheaper by Rs 11 per kilogram. According to the official price list, the wholesale rate of live broiler chicken has been fixed at Rs 389 per kilogram while the retail rate has been fixed at Rs 403 per kilogram.
In the provincial capital, the price of broiler chicken meat has been fixed at Rs 584 per kilogram, and the price of eggs has increased by Rs 1 per egg to Rs 262 per dozen.
Yesterday, the wholesale rate of broiler chicken in Lahore was Rs 397 per kilogram while the retail rate was Rs 411 per kilogram.
In Multan, the wholesale rate of live broiler chicken is Rs 374 per kg, while the retail rate is Rs 388 per kg; eggs are Rs 260 per dozen, and chicken meat is available for Rs 560 per kg.
In the city, live chicken has become cheaper by Rs 18 per kg while broiler chicken meat has become cheaper by Rs 28.
Yesterday, the wholesale rate of live broiler in Multan was Rs 392 per kg, while the retail rate was Rs 406 per kg; chicken meat was sold for Rs 588 per kg.
