Punjab Specialized Healthcare Department has decided to slash the leaves of the professor and doctors during summer.
According to the scribe, five members committee of senior doctors under the chair of University of Health Sciences Vice Chancellor has been constituted to review the decision.
The other members of the committee include the vice chancellors of Fatima Jinnah, King Edward, University of Child Health Sciences and Principal of Allama Iqbal Medical College.
All senior doctors including Assistant, Associate and Professors avail one and half month vacation in the summer on their turn.
The newly-constituted committee will recommend the government whether to end entire holidays or slash the number of days. The committee will make recommendations on the leave by July 24.
