9-year-old disabled child raped and murdered in Karachi’s Korangi
Two suspects were arrested after a nine-year-old disabled child was discovered raped and murdered in Karachi’s Korangi neighborhood on Saturday, police said.
Zaman Town police said the body of the child was recovered from the rear seat of a parked Suzuki Cultus car. The body was bluish and foaming from mouth.
The body was taken to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center to determine the cause of death.
The victim was a child with special needs who had a deformed right hand, according to police surgeon Dr. Summaiya Syed. Many injuries were present throughout the body, and the surgeon concluded that there had been anal sexual abuse.
The lips were deeply congested, and oral swabs have also been collected. There was a reddish froth on nasal openings.
“The cause of death and final opinion regarding sexual assault is kept reserved till reports of chemical analysis, semen serology and DNA,” said Dr Syed.
“In their preliminary findings, the doctors confirmed murder after rape, but they were waiting for the final report,” Korangi-SSP Sajid Amir Sadozai was quoted as saying in Dawn.com.
The boy’s body was found in the back seat of the vehicle in a parking lot, according to the senior officer. Police in Zaman Town have gathered proof, he continued. Also, the Cultus automobile has been seized for examination.
The owner of the car and the parking lot watchman have been detained, according to SSP Sadozai, pending further investigation.
“The police have launched an investigation after registering of an FIR and the beast will be arrested soon,” he added.
This is merely the most recent instance of deadly sexual assault in the city. Local protests were sparked by the rape and murder of a six-year-old girl in the Bin Qasim district of the city earlier this month. Two suspects who were allegedly the girl’s neighbors were detained.
The autopsy results supported the presence of aggressive vaginal and anal intercourse.
In the city’s Bahadurabad neighborhood, a teenage boy was raped and killed in November of last year.
