QUETTA: Some nine attacks by terrorists across the province claimed at least five lives and injured 15 others in what appeared to be latest surge of terror wave in trouble-hit Balochistan.
Details gathered by MM News revealed the first incident was reported at Quetta’s Sabzal Road when two grenades were hurled at a shop of scrap-seller, injuring four people including three women.
In Hub Chowki area bordering Karachi, an explosion destroyed a bike, injuring at least three people.
In Quetta again, hand grenade was thrown at a picket of Police personnel in Satellite Town area, injuring 5 people including three cops.

A terrorist was killed and a soldier martyred during an exchange of fire between militants and security forces in an intelligence-based operation in the Sambaza area of Balochistan’s Zhob district.
Multiple hand grenade attacks were reported late last night in Khuzdar, Quetta’s Saryab, Turbat and Kallat, but officials said no casualty was reported.
It is pertinent to mention here that the multiple blasts hit Balochistan as the nation celebrated 146th birth anniversary of founder of Pakistan, Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Christmas.
Meanwhile, officials said in light of the terror incidents, Islamabad had been placed on “high alert”, and the United States Embassy had also advised its mission personnel to avoid “non-essential and unofficial” travel in the federal capital.
