Karachi police arrested nine suspects, including three injured individuals, after two alleged encounters, recovering jewelry and cash worth millions.
According to ARY News, a shootout took place in Karachi’s North Nazimabad area near Kati Pahari, where police arrested seven suspects, including one injured. The suspects were found with two pistols, mobile phones, a Kalashnikov, and two motorcycles.
The suspects were identified as Kaleem, Hafeez, Naeemullah, Muhammad Sabir, Hafeez, Sajid, and Rauf. Additionally, AVLC Kemari police apprehended two suspects, Ejaz and Bilal, in injured condition following an encounter. Stolen goods and weapons were seized from them.
Officials recovered two pistols, wallets, mobile phones, and a motorcycle from the suspects. Cases have been registered, and further investigations are underway.
Police also arrested two individuals, Habib and Umar Khan, for aerial firing during a wedding in Jhangvi Road within the jurisdiction of Mobina Town police. A case has been registered against them.
Meanwhile, a man named Imran was injured during firing near Chakar Hotel on Site Super Highway. Imran, identified as a criminal previously jailed and recently released on bail, is under suspicion for his involvement in the incident. Investigations are ongoing.
