The Pakistan Seismological Center reported that the earthquake had a magnitude of 5.7 on the Richter scale. The earthquake’s epicenter was found at Shadiwala, close to Dera Ghazi Khan, and its depth was measured at 10 kilometers.
The KP cities rocked by the quake tremors include Dera Ismail Khan, Peshawar, Swat, North Waziristan, Hangu, Mardan, Malakand, Buner, Shangla, Dir, Mansehra, Bitgram, Torghar, Kohistan Abbottabad and Kurram.

The current seismic activity occurs over 90 days following a 4.7-magnitude earthquake that rocked portions of Rawalpindi, Islamabad, and KP in June. In Karachi that same month, there was another earthquake with a magnitude of 3.2 that preceded this one.
A 2.3-magnitude earthquake that struck in May rocked several districts of the city, notably Gadap Town, Katohar, and the surrounding Malir district.
