A 5.6 magnitude earthquake rattled the federal capital and neighboring cities, including parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), the earthquake had a depth of 114 kilometers, with its epicenter located in the Hindukush region of Afghanistan.
Residents in Malakand, Lower Dir, Hangu, Kohat, Bajaur, Swat, Buner, Shangla, and North Waziristan reported experiencing the tremors.
Local authorities confirmed that no immediate damage or casualties had been reported, but citizens were urged to remain cautious and follow safety protocols.

The tremors were also felt in Sawabi, Upper Dir, and surrounding areas. According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), the earthquake registered a magnitude of 5.6 on the Richter scale.
