LAHORE: Lahore district administration has sealed 30 shops in the provincial capital and imposed fine on many others over violations of the standard operating procedure (SOPs) for the prevention of novel COVID-19 infection.
As per details, Assistant Commissioner Model Town Zeeshan Nasirullah Ranjha, during an inspection of bazaars in Lahore Centre, Main Boulevard Gulberg, sealed 17 shops over violation of the SOPs and 13 shops in Naseerabad area were also sealed.
He also issued warnings to various other shop owners and instructed them to follow the precautions strictly. 0n June 16, Around 12,400 violations of standard operating procedures (SOPs) were reported in 24 hours across the country.
It was informed during a meeting of the National Command and Operations Centre held under the chairmanship of Federal Minister Asad Umar. Around 1,512 markets, shops were sealed and 14 industrial units were fined and sealed while 1,466 transporters across the country were fined.
At least 364 violations of SOPs were reported in Islamabad in 24 hours, as a result of which 154 shops were sealed and 147 vehicles were fined.
Similarly, in the last 24 hours, 5336 violations of SOPs were reported in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and 257 markets, shops were sealed while 104 transporters were fined.
