At least 28 passengers including women and children were killed in a tragic bus accident in Washik, Balochistan on Wednesday morning.
As per the detail, the bus was en route to Quetta from Gwadar when it plunged into a ravine in the Washuk area. Rescue officials have confirmed 28 casualties including women and children.
As many as 22 passengers were also injured in the horrific accident which witnesses said was the result of overspeeding. The driver lost control of the vehicle which plunged into a ravine near Basima area in Washuk city of Balochistan.
The rescue personnel shifted the bodies and the injured to a local hospital. The bodies of the deceased have been kept at Civil Hospital Basima for identification.
In Balochistan, the occurrence of harrowing traffic accidents has sadly become all too familiar, attributed to a confluence of factors including inadequate road conditions, reckless speeding, insufficient driver training, and negligent vehicle maintenance.
