ISLAMABAD: Objections have been raised on the nomination papers of various major politicians of the country.
According to the details, objections were raised on the nomination papers of several politicians of the country including Bilawal Bhutto, Maryam Nawaz, and former Chairman PTI Imran Khan.
Objections were raised on the nomination papers of Bilawal Bhutto Zardari from NA 127 Lahore. Hearing of objections on Maryam Nawaz’s papers was completed in Sargodha.
The Election Commission of Pakistan says in this context that the returning officer will give a decision on December 30 regarding the rejection or acceptance of the nomination papers.
The objection has also been raised against former Chairman PTI Imran Khan’s submission of nomination papers from NA 122 Lahore. The Returning Officer will hear the objections again.
On the other hand, the scrutiny of the nomination papers submitted by the candidates for the general elections in 2024 is also going on. Former Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah’s nomination papers were declared valid.
ANP’s Ghulam Ahmad Bilour, Aimal Wali Khan, and Samar Haroon Bilour were declared eligible for the election. The nomination papers of Khawaja Saad Rafiq, Abid Sher Ali, and Raja Riaz were also accepted.
The papers of Maulana Asad Mehmood of Jamiat Ulema Islam (F) and the nomination papers of Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui submitted from 3 constituencies have also been approved.
