2 killed as blast targets journos’ gathering in Afghanistan’s Mazar-e-Sharif

KABUL: At least two people were killed and scores other injured as a result of a blast that targeted Tabyan cultural center in Mazar-e-Sharif city in the northern province of Balkh Saturday morning.

Multiple media reports suggested that more than a dozen journalists were injured in the blast, and some of them said to be in critical condition.

Local media said the number of wounded might increase as the figures are from one hospital in the northern city.

The gathering was hosted as a ceremony to honor fellow journalists.
