In another horrific incident, a 13-year-old girl became pregnant after being reportedly raped by a Madrassa cleric in Okara, Punjab, according to local police.
The incident, occurred at Jama Masjid Faizan-e-Madina, involving a teacher who taught Holy Quran to the victim. The victim had reportedly been coerced into remaining silent.
According to a first information report (FIR) that went viral on social media on October 31, the victim’s mother said that the cleric had intimidated her daughter into not speaking out about his offense. The victim lives in Azam Town’s Renala Khurd.
The young girl was taken to the hospital for an ultrasound, which revealed she was seven months pregnant.
Following this, the accused fled to Multan and reportedly threatened to harm her daughter, as stated by the mother in the FIR.
She urged the police to apprehend the offender promptly and seek justice for her daughter.
