Amid growing concerns over the increasing number of traffic accidents in Karachi, another tragic incident has left residents shocked and distressed.
A 12-year-old boy lost his life after being struck by a speeding Red Bus near the Defence Mor signal. The incident created an atmosphere of fear and grief in the area.
According to police officials, District South Police reached the scene immediately after receiving reports of the accident and arrested the driver of the Red Bus.
The suspect was identified as Sohaibullah and was later transferred to the lock-up at Defence Police Station.
Authorities further stated that the Red Bus involved in the incident has been taken into custody, while legal proceedings and a detailed investigation have been initiated to determine responsibility for the accident.
Meanwhile, in a separate traffic incident in Karachi’s Saddar area near Zainab Market, two individuals were injured after being hit by a speeding vehicle.
According to rescue sources, the accident occurred when a car collided with a motorcyclist before losing control and crashing into a roadside pavement. As a result, both the motorcyclist and a pedestrian sustained injuries.
The injured individuals were identified as Dildar, aged 25, and Zaheer, aged 30. Rescue officials confirmed that both sustained minor injuries and are reported to be out of danger.
